| What is the STIL Usage Guide |
- STIL(Standard Test Interface Language) has so flexible structures that it leads to ambiguities in expressions, resulting in the risk of variations in syntactic interpretations. These variations will cause to generate STIL dialects, which could be a factor to hinder the widespread use and dissemination of STIL. To avoid this problem and make STIL a language in common use, it is required for users to achieve commonality of interpretations.
- The STIL Usage Guide contains standard interpretations of STIL syntaxes which were discussed and summarized by STARC STIL-based Semiconductor Test Action Group (SSTAG). We hope the STIL Usage Guide will be used as a guide for STIL users and a support guide for EDA tools and testers, and also play a part to make STIL a language in common use and accelerate the widespread use of STIL.
- The STIL Usage Guide enables users, tools and equipments (testers) to share commonality in interpretations of the detailed expressions, that provides a way to improve test development efficiency.
- We hope the STIL Usage Guide will be used as a common guideline of the entire industry.
