Takahiro Yamashita
- Recieved Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering from the university of Tokyo in 2000 and my thesis is low-voltage high speed circuit using pass-transistor logic. My research interest is low power circuit techniques in deep-submicron technology. And, another enthusiasm is for the sky. I love to fly with glider and/or motor glider, seeking updraft thermals with white cloud.

- I have joined to System Group since May, '03. I originally studied and developed about High-Speed Analog Interface field, such as IEEE1394a, 1394b and so on. Spent few weeks here, I still have a feeling like hope and little nervous to entering an Academic Research field. Anyway, this is gonna be a great experience to work with superior engineers, So I decide to set my mind for studying as "FuuRinKaZan"( :Wind,Forest,Fire,Mountain ) which is "High-Speed technology" as an wind blow, and "Low-Power" as an calm forest, and "General technology" as aggressive fire, and "Reduce uneven" as no move Mountain.

- I have joined the group in December of 2002 from TOSHIBA Design of DRAM, this has been my ever lasting work at the home company for 20 years. I have experienced the design of DRAM, VRAM, SDRAM , Field Memory and etc. This career would be helpful to research an advanced low power memory for a future SOC solution. "Surprise" is my favorite word. Any everyday things, natural things and creatures would have some surprise aspects from a standpoint of deep mind's eye. Common and old ideas may become a new and great vision or innovations in surprise. Here, at STARC , I would like to surprise myself to develop a memory system for future use from old used ideas. In holidays, I walk around the town, read books about natural science, raise yellow canarie and ,,,, Lastly, Undisclosed, to be a flower. Disclosed, not to be a flower. (a word from Zeami) This word matches my feeling of "surprise".
