The 6th International Forum on Semiconductor Technology (IFST 2003) will be held February 13-14, 2003 at the Monterey Marriott, 350 Calle Principal,Monterey, California, USA. This conference is designed to bring together engineers and scientists from around the world to discuss advances in semiconductor technology. IFST is supported by a wide variety of semiconductor consortia and industry organizations, and is designed to enhance global cooperation in semiconductor research and development. The 2003 conference will be co-sponsored by Semiconductor Research Corporation (SRC) and International SEMATECH (ISMT).
Sessions offered will include:
- International cooperation;
- High-k technology, including the gate stack and ultra shallow junctions;
- Copper/Low-k technology;
- Lithography, with emphasis on 157nm and NGL technologies;
- Mask technology and infrastructure.

In addition to the technical sessions, there will be a supplier forum to assess options for managing through the current industry downturn and maintaining the health of the supplier and end user communities - this includes plans for addressing emerging technical gaps, strengthening the infrastructure, and managing risk - and to discuss plans for the transition to 300mm wafer processing.
